Falling Back

Odette

Hello, Blooming Bloomers!! I hope your Fall season is going wonderfully 😊. I just figured I would stop by and make my presence known *giggles *, to provide you with a little encouragement. Not to mention, I had an epiphany and realized I should share my words of wisdom.

As I said in my previous blog to you all, "This is the time to focus on YOU! Be selfish and worry about yourself." However, I didn't mention to you that this is also the season to Fall Back. No, I do not mean literally fall back and hurt yourself, but metaphorically it is time to fall back. Stop trying to burn yourself out. Trying to keep up with everything on a level of 360 degrees. Chill, Slow down, breathe, relax, and my favorite part… STOP STRESSING!

I know some of you just like me, who may have been feeling extremely tired or, in better words, exhausted. Not wanting to come out of bed, being lazy, or just feeling a need to take a mental day off. Then again, some of you are having symptoms of burnout (which can vary from person to person). If you aren't sure about the signs, here are just a few:

1. Feeling Restless – never feeling well-rested

2. Insomnia – staying up extra hours or sleep disturbances

3. No Motivation – just dragging your body everywhere with no expression

4. Difficulty Concentrating – not following what anyone is saying to you are distracted by the smallest things

5. Feeling Indifferent – moments of feeling down occasionally

6. Getting Cynical - snapping at persons often even though it's not intentional

7. Not Enjoying Your Favorite Things – merely losing interest in things you would typically enjoy to get you in a good mood

So, with those things in mind and if you are experiencing these, it's time to Fall back and take a break. Take a break from your daily grind, your goal settings, and planning. Perform some self-care on yourself, nothing wrong with a little self-loving. Now I am not a doctor. However, just a little fun fact, I am a certified Life Coach. Suppose these feelings seem to be extremely persistent even after taking a restful break. In that case, there can be something more profound happening, such as depression. Don't quote me on that, but there is nothing wrong with checking with a professional for mental health. I've done it a few times.

Bloomers, if you need to Fall Back, please do so. Remember, this is the season to be selfish and Fall for yourself! Pray and meditate as much as possible and get aligned with the path you are meant to be on.

Falling in Love with Yourself First Doesn’t Make You Vain or Selfish, it Makes You Indestructible.
