Season of Change
Odette
So besides “Self-Pollination” Guess who is going through changes; me. No, I don’t mean puberty. If that was the case I would'nt complain. But seriously, I can feel the changes and it is interesting because I have a lot of mixed emotions about it. I am not choosing violence with it but violence is choosing me. However, before I get into all of that…How are you doing? I hope you enjoyed your summer because it is FINALLY over. That means WELCOME Autumn season!
Like they say…” change is inevitable” and God knows this is true; so why try and avoid it? Is it because you are scared? Maybe you lack faith? Or because you got so comfortable and cozy? You have a choice. Either resist the Change and risk the potential of seeing where life would like to take you and experience the true blessings God had for you. Or, adapt to the change & see how you can benefit from it and see the opportunity for growth & blessings.
Over the past few months, I’ve been feeling slightly jaded, confused, anxious, and all around just feeling uncomfortable. The thing is I couldn’t figure out what the reason was. I’ve realized that as I took time out for myself to pray and ask God to ordain my steps. Allowed him to have “HIS WILL” in my life not to mention I have been struggling with having faith I realized that I was going through a change. Not the physical kind but the kind where you know within yourself it’s time for things to get shaken up and take the big leap of faith. You know what they say…when you start to feel uncomfortable in your season or process, it’s time for a change. Maybe, it can be a sign as well. It’s amazing how you don’t recognize it at first but, once you sit down and spend time with your thoughts you get the answers you looking for.
That is why it is important to spend time alone with yourself because I truly believe not until you do that, that’s when self-realization takes place. That is when self-evolvement happens. Oftentimes we don’t like to be alone for whatever reason but that’s what you need. Especially when you are trying to figure things out. Everything, is a process in life and we all know nothing comes easy. If it came easy many of us wouldn’t have lessons, be humble or have a testimony to inspire someone else. The point is….we all reach a point where we want to evolve as individuals & see better for ourselves. In those moments we begin to feel unsettled, uncomfortable, anxious, or whatever. We love to go to our family, friends, or someone you love to confide in, but that’s when you need to be alone and talk with God.
During this new season which is also my favorite (just throwing that out there) let’s start to look at this “season of change”. The truth is during this season and period of your life things do change, dead weight is falling off, and the unknown happens. And it is okay to not know the unknown; I had to learn that it’s better if you don’t know because if you knew you wouldn’t be willing to take the leap. Truth is… to experience growth oftentimes you MUST go into unfamiliar territories. That my Bloomer is what this season is all about. Growth & change can be exciting but scary & and uncomfortable feeling. It’s stressful and annoying as hell but that’s life I guess.
1. Accept the process no matter how long it takes
2. Don’t take the shortcuts
3. Pray
4. Don’t settle
5. Take the leap of faith
