It Is What It Is : Just Let It Be

“…I’m tired…tired of being tired. Tired of the frustration & stress of everything.” Bloomers, this something that I have constantly been saying to myself for the past few months. To the point where I now say, “It is what it is.” I am sure some of you have reached this point as well, and if you haven’t… that’s a good thing. 

I have now reached a point in my life where I cannot afford for my peace of mind to be ruined by unnecessary “life tribulations.” I mean, it’s completely normal because that is life, but I have learned that you must pick your battles… is it worth it? Are they worth it? Is this going to make me a better person, or is this just the devil? I remember telling a close family relative of mine, “I am raising my white flag.” Meaning, I surrender to all the Bull S., but I was very serious. Recently I was ready to raise my “red flag” and say, “Eff it.” However, I had to take a step back and catch myself. 

If you read my last blog post, “Feeding your Spirit” (if you haven’t click the link!), you would notice that I am on a new spiritual journey. With that being said, I took a step back and recentered myself & realized that these are simply mountains given to me to test me. On my growth, wisdom, knowledge & understanding, just to prove that I am growing into the woman I would LOVE to be one day! Sometimes we are given mountains that are hard to climb. You just have to know how to overcome them. That is something that I had to learn to do & still learning currently. 

Therefore, that lead to me taking a step back and just saying, “It is what it is… imma just let it be” (not saying I don’t care even though that can be the case depending). When you have different things happening around you, the last thing you need is a breakdown, no matter how big or small. Right? Almost like when SpongeBob throws a tantrum at Mr.Krabs *giggles * So, sometimes it is just better to let it be despite what may or may not be happening; even if it is bothering you and showing on your face, some things are left better unsaid. 

Bloomers, listen to me and listen well. When you notice it’s one thing after another, whether it’s a person/s or something, not all the time, it deserves a reaction. In most cases, it’s a test to see how well you can handle battles with the self-development you are trying to achieve. Think of them as HUGE mountains, and it is up to you to use wisdom, knowledge & understanding to climb up the mountain and overcome it. Do not let the enemy win! 

My Advice: take a deep breath in & take one breath out, smile, and say, “it is what it is.” Or simply turn up the music in the comforts of your home or bedroom and dance around no matter how silly you may look in the mirror. I do this sometimes, and it helps.
