No Sense of Direction? Be Still & Listen!

Odette

What do I want out of life? Am I where I want to be at this current time? Am I the only one at this age who doesn’t have life figured out yet? Am I truly living life for me or for someone else? What is the PLAN?

These are questions that I ask myself sometimes, and the fact that you clicked on this post likely means you ask yourself these questions or similar ones too. I think it is safe to say that these questions are normal to ask ourselves, especially when we feel like we have “no sense of direction.” For some, it may be a little nerve-wracking when someone else asks us these questions.

Hey Bloomers, I hope you all are surviving this COVID-19 lockdown. As for me, I am bored, but luckily, I find things to do in my free time. So, based on the title of this post, I guess you already figured out what this is about. Don’t worry, I won’t preach too much *giggles*.

I am just here to give my bloomers a daily reminder that it is okay to not be where you want to be right now. Sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise. Many of us are still trying to figure out life and still trying to get a sense of direction. Some days, I have random moments of beating myself up. I am not always sure what it is I want to do with my life. I’m still trying to figure out my purpose and plan. Being in your 20’s means the questions come more and more frequently, making you feel like a waste of space on earth. But then I remember I need to be still and listen.

Be still and listen to what God has to say. Be still and know that He is creating a path for me.

Stillness is the language God speaks, and everything else is a bad translation.
— Eckhart Tolle

You bloomers have to do the same!

I’ve learned that it is better to be calm, breathe, and enjoy the path you are currently on. Where you are now is just a lesson. It’s time to learn a new skill, acknowledge your strengths and weaknesses. Focus and create goals that you want to achieve and when life knows you are ready… you will “Level Up.” Don’t listen to what society thinks, every accomplishment you earn is a level up in life that can lead to the path of your success!

Do not let anyone pressure you or interrogate you because you aren’t sure what it is you want out of life yet. Better yet, they may think you should have been way more ahead in life than you are now. No one is going in the same exact direction as you. Therefore, some may reach their destination a little earlier but don’t feel bad. Remember, “sometimes,” the journey is way better than the destination itself. Trust me, you are doing much better than you think!!!!

 I will direct your steps
