Summer Solstice
Odette
….Would you look at that? We are now 8 months into the year, and it’s officially Summer. That surely came quickly, and though I do like the Summer season for the most part, I disagree with the extreme heat and the hurricane season that is about to approach. Nonetheless, we made it; Thank the Lord! I hope you Bloomers are doing well, Blooming gracefully and, of course, not choosing violence.
In full transparency, the beginning of this year was rather difficult for me. I had my highs and lows, which are expected because I am human. Still, there were definitely key moments that stood out tremendously. I’ve felt drained and dried with my cup going empty & some days no motivation. But despite the emotions I experienced & personal feelings I’ve had, I am still grateful for those moments. Because, in those moments, I’ve learned more about myself, and I am genuinely thankful for that. These past 6-8 months have taught me that I SERIOUSLY DO NOT GIVE MYSELF ENOUGH CREDIT & I JUST NEED TO STOP BEING SO HARD ON MYSELF! Like…Gosh! But hey, day by day, I am starting to recognize it.
Enough about me. Now that it’s the Summer Solstice, this is the perfect time to reflect on the POSITIVE peak moments in your life that have happened thus far. No matter how “little” it may have been. Bask in it and count it all joy. As I said earlier, the beginning of this year was difficult for me, and I am sure it was for others too. However, things are about to turn around for the GREATER & yes, I am speaking it into existence for you and myself. These last few months are going to be good. We are past the Spring season, but realistically speaking, it’s never too late for things to work out for us, and it’s not too late for a little “late” Blooming, either. I decree & declare that you will get a sense of direction in these next few months; everything that was causing you confusion will clear up. I also decree and declare that whatever needs to be released and removed from you for you to move into another season (whatever season that may be) in your life, be removed. Whether it’s friendships, environments, etc.
Didn’t mean to get all “Holy” there, but too bad. Teehee. Honestly, guys, I am speaking to myself when I say this. Even though life is ghetto and ROUGH OUT HERE, let’s make the best of this Summer. Enjoy it! Show off your body, however, “you see fit,” overall, just enjoy life and your youth! Drink some coconut water, eat plenty…do whatever makes you feel good. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually, etc., just be wise in your decisions. Don’t forget to pray. Have a GREAT day and of course…
