Pain: The Driving Force Behind Development and Promotion
Odette
No. I'm not talking about physical pain but the emotional pain we experience during life transitions. This is the kind of pain that stresses us out, frustrates us, and reveals our weaknesses. But it's also the pain that helps us grow and develop. You can't deliver without development – pain is a sign of growth taking place. No matter how it may look. Let's look at this analogy! Going to the gym - is like personal development.
At first, it's hard and painful. You push yourself to do more than you're comfortable with and feel sore and exhausted afterward. But as you keep going, you start to see results. You get stronger, more fit, and more confident. The same is true for personal development. When you start working on yourself, it can be difficult and uncomfortable. You have to confront your weaknesses and challenges, and you may sometimes feel like giving up. But if you keep going, you will start to see results. You will become more resilient, self-aware, and capable of achieving your goals. So, next time you're feeling the pain of personal development, remember that it's a sign that you're growing and changing. Don't give up! Keep pushing through the pain, and you will eventually reach your goals & would've survived the shift.
Just like going to the gym can lead to a physical transformation, personal development can lead to a personal transformation. You may change your beliefs, habits, and goals as you learn and grow. You may also find yourself attracting new people and opportunities into your life. In other words, personal development can lead to a promotion in all areas of your life. It can help you become the best version of yourself, personally and professionally. No Pain, No Gain. With that being said, To shift into your next season, you must embrace the pain and discomfort that comes with it. You may feel broken, lost, and empty, but there is a blessing in the midst of it. God uses pain to remind us that we need him. He is the God of transformation and uses the pain we face to turn things around for our good.
Therefore, you will have to fight through the pain and emotions; you will want to give up & listen. I want to give up right now, but how will I know what's on the other side. Because, through it all, you are developing a new thing. For some of us, the birth of something or the re-birth of something better. Don't be afraid to leave your safe space; He's calling you to grow, requiring "say it with me ya'll" PAIN. Here's some food for thought - Promotion isn't just about your career. It can also be about your personal life. When you are achieve something new or significant in your personal life, whether buying a new car, starting a new business, or simply discovering a new creative passion, that's a promotion. It's a sign that you're growing and evolving and committed to becoming the best version of yourself. And we know the struggles that come with obtaining those things. Quick example – I had to sacrifice more than 60% of my paycheck to receive my car. What I was left with… let's just say God really showed up on my behalf. Pain, I tell you, pain!
Anyway… It's not about the destination; it's about the journey. The pain and development we experience along the way are essential for success. The more we grow and learn, the more equipped we are to deliver and promote our best work. When we focus on the journey, we become more resilient and adaptable. We also become more passionate about our work because we constantly strive to improve. So next time you feel overwhelmed by the pain and development process, remember that it's all part of the journey. It's all preparing you for the success that lies ahead. So, get comfortable being uncomfortable; bare the heartache that comes with it. The emotions will be up and down, and that's okay. You are human. Just remain silent during the season.
Again, I will say it: Trust God in the midst of your pain. He has a good plan for your life and is using the pain you are facing to prepare you for your next season. So lean on Him, and let Him guide you through this difficult time. Remember, development occurs in pain to birth a new thing in oneself. Don't believe me - look at some of your own experiences in life.
